Passionate & Experienced
Our passionate and experienced teachers are committed to creating a safe and nurturing environment where every child feels valued and supported.
Miss Monica | Preschool Teacher
Miss Monica is thrilled to be part of the Prodigy Prep Preschool Team. She has always loved working with children and started volunteering at her local elementary school at age fourteen. She knew she wanted to be a teacher from a young age and continued with that passion in college and received her degree in Elementary Education. After completing her degree she went on to work as a Transitional Kindergarten teacher at a private preschool and discovered an interest in working with preschool age children. She has seven years of experience teaching in the classroom as well as twenty five years of experience working with and being a caregiver for young children.
Her teaching philosophy centers on creating an environment where children can explore and learn about the world around them, in a classroom where they feel comfortable and safe. She believes that children learn best through hands on activities and play as well as positive reinforcement. She strives to meet the educational and emotional needs of each student and help them feel valued and cared for in her classroom.
Outside of the classroom, she enjoys walking, yoga, traveling and spending time with her husband and three children.
Miss Jody | Preschool Assistant Teacher
Miss Jody is delighted to be a part of the Prodigy Prep Preschool team. She has previously worked in a local daycare for 2 years, in addition to being a stay-at-home mom, raising her 3 boys. While at the daycare and at home, she loves watching the light in children's eyes as they learn and explore new things.
Her teaching philosophy centers around fostering curiosity and creativity through hands-on learning and play. She believes that every child is valued and respected, and aims to provide each child a place to grow, feel safe, secure, and supported in a positive environment. Her goal is to support each child’s development and build a strong foundation for their future learning, with parental involvement and open communication.
Outside of the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their 3 boys, reading, working out, and listening to music.
